With 5.5 million inhabitants, St. Petersburg is the cultural center of Russia. The opening of the Russian society towards the West makes it easier to appreciate St. Petersburg offerings: the Marlinsky (Kirov) and the Musorgsky (Maly) theatres, the Philharmonic, centuries old traditions of Russian folklore.  Millions of art objects are concentrated in the Hermitage, the Russian museum and St. Isaac's cathedral.  New hotels, joint venture restaurants, increasing airline services, airport projects international operators are a few of all the rapid changes in quality and service

Day 1

  • Outdoor welcome by Father Frost and Snow maiden - Bailalaika music
  • Transfer with musicians by boat to the banks of Neva - Lunch on board
  • Hovercraft journey on the frozen river

Day 2

  • Early morning visit to an Orthodox Church
  • Treasureof the Hermitage Museum
  • Lunch in a Brewery with home made beer
  • City Tour
  • Dinner - with dance in the vaulted brick gourmet restaurant in a relaxed warm atmosphere.
  • Night club and casino

Day 3

  • Palace visit
  • Traditional snow games, ski-ing, skating, troika rides with horse sledges
  • Hot drinks in a Pavillion with entertainment and open fireplace
  • Lunch in a rustic log housewith Russian national dishes
  • Matrushka doll painting or or playing folklore instruments
  • Russian sauna
  • Gala dinner in one of the Palaces, mystique masquerade.
  • Fireworks and depart

Day 4

  • Check out and depart with excursion to Catherine The Great's Palace in Pushkin and perhaps pop into the flea market for last minute shopping items
