Located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the Azores comprises a group of 9 islands.  These are of volcanic origin which makes the varied landscapes, some dramatic, some gentle, but always unspoilt, unpolluted with the sea never far away

Day 1

  • Arrival in Ponta Delgadas and transfer to hotel

Day 2

  • Full day exploration of Furnas visiting Vila Franc enroute (the first capital of the island).
  • Visit Furnas lake, hot springs and surrounding holes
  • Enjoy a 'Cozido' Lunch - cooked by underground vapours.
  • Visit botanical gardens and swim in a natural hot water swimming pool.
  • Visit the tea plantation on return.
  • Dinner in a private "Quinta"

Day 3

  • Board a pirate ship to search for whales and dolphins.
  • Lunch in a local restaurant
  • For the adventurous, tackle a rope obstacle course over the trees and undergrowth.
  • Evening dinner with speciality Azorean meat.

Day 4

  • Full day JeepSafari in the lakes area with lunch in a local restaurant.
  • Farewell dinner and entertainment

Day 5

  • Breakfast and depart
