Overview of Programme

Set on the peninsula at the tip of Africa where the two mighty Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, Cape Town has something for everyone. The Table Bay Hotel is situated in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront located in the historic working harbour of Table Bay, and a short 20-minute transfer from Cape Town’s International Airport.

2½ hours drive from Johannesburg, within the world renowned Sun City Resort, lies the Palace of the Lost City Hotel. Here guests experience the best of both worlds from the sheer opulence of the Palace to the awesome game viewing opportunities in the adjacent Pilanesberg National Park where the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo) roam freely.

Both hotels are part of the Sun International Group and are also members of the prestigious “Leading Hotels of the World”.

Day 1

• Arrive into O.R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg).

• Domestic flight to Cape Town (2 hours).  Luxury coach transfer to the hotel.

• Private group check-in at the 5-Star Table Bay Hotel with a welcome function including drinks and snacks on arrival.

• Guests retire at leisure for the evening

Day 2

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure.
• Depart on a full day Cape Peninsula tour, including a scenic drive along Chapman’s Peak, entrance to Cape Point Nature Reserve, and a funicular ride to see Cape Point.
• Three course lunch at a local seafood restaurant.
• Visit to the resident Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach.
• Return to the hotel late afternoon. Time at leisure.
• Dine-around evening in the V&A Waterfront precinct.

Day 3

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure.

• Depart on a full day Winelands tour including 2 private wine tastings with a surprise Cheetah appearance during the tasting at Spier Wine Estate (home to a Cheetah breeding project).

• Non-exclusive buffet lunch at the Pan-African themed Moyo restaurant.

• Return to the hotel mid afternoon. Time at leisure.

• Three course dinner served in the Table Bay Hotel Atlantic Restaurant.

Day 4

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure.
• Full day at leisure.
• Exclusive dinner on a private secluded beach, including cocktails and canapés on arrival, followed by a barbecue dinner under a Bedouin tent, with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 5

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure.
• Depart Cape Town.
• Domestic flight to Johannesburg (2 hours).
• Luxury 44-Seater coach transfer to Sun City (2½ hours). Packed lunch boxes and refreshments available during the transfer.
• Private group check-in at the 5-Star Palace of the Lost City Hotel.
• Time at leisure.
• Exclusive pre-dinner cocktails in the Elephant Atrium followed by an elegant private three course dinner in the opulent Royal Chamber.

Day 6

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure.
• Full day at leisure to take advantage of the many activities on offer at Sun City.
• Late afternoon private game drive in the Pilanesberg National Park with Rangers including sundowners (2½ hours).
• Exclusive traditional African ‘Boma’ Dinner (open-air reed enclosure) with tribal dancers and a Marimba band to entertain.

Day 7

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure. Depart Sun City.

• Luxury coach transfer to O.R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg).

• Stop en-route alongside the Hennops River for a sophisticated three course lunch.

• Check-in for outbound international flight at O.R. Tambo International Airport. Return flight home.

Package is quoted on 40 participants sharing and is devised to illustrate the type of incentive programme that is feasible. Rate of exchange is based on R 16.75 to GBP £ 1.00 / R 13.25 to EUR € 13.25 (at time of going to print) and quoted on high season rates valid until 30 November 2009.
