Overview of Programme

World renowned for spectacular views, mountains, nightlife and entertainment - Cape Town is a must visit destination on any trip to South Africa.

The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa lies perched above the Atlantic Ocean flanked by the majestic Table Mountain and its namesake, The Twelve Apostles. The hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and proud winner of "The Best Hotel in Africa/Middle best" 2005 award. The hotel’s Sanctuary Spa has also been voted the 5th Best Spa in Africa/Middle East & Indian Ocean by readers of Condé Nast Traveller.

Ivory Tree Game Lodge is situated in the North-Eastern region of the malaria-free Pilanesberg Game Reserve, in the basin of an ancient volcanic amphitheatre and home to Africa’s “Big Five” - namely Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. Custom-built 10-seater open safari vehicles afford guests’ maximum all round visibility during game drives, whilst experienced Game Rangers interpret the sights and sounds of the African bush.

Day 1

• Arrive into O.R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg).

• Domestic flight to Cape Town (2 hours)

• Luxury coach transfer to the hotel.

• Private group check-in at the 5-Star Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa with drinks and substantial canapés on arrival.

• Guests retire at leisure for the evening.

Day 2

• Breakfast in hotel at leisure
• Depart on a full day Cultural tour of Cape Town including a private guided tour on top of Table Mountain.
• Visit the historical “Bo-Kaap’ district with a welcome performance by Cape Minstrels
• Exclusive traditional Cape Malay lunch.
• Dine-Around evening in trendy Camps Bay.

Day 3

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure.

• Depart on a full day Cape Peninsula tour including a scenic drive along Chapman’s Peak, entrance to Cape Point Nature Reserve, and a funicular ride to see Cape Point.

• Three course lunch at a local seafood restaurant.

• Visit to the resident Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach.

• Dinner at a vineyard including a private wine tasting of the estate’s wines before dinner.

Day 4

• Breakfast in the hotel at leisure.
• Depart Cape Town. Domestic flight to Johannesburg (2 hours).
• Luxury coach transfer to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve (2½ hours). Packed lunch boxes and refreshments available during the transfer.
• Private group check-in at the 5-Star Ivory Tree Game Lodge.
• High tea at the lodge and then depart on a 3-hour game drive in open safari vehicles in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve with Rangers.
• Stop in the bush for sundowners and snacks.
• Return to the lodge for an exclusive traditional African ‘Boma’ Dinner (open-air reed enclosure).

Day 5

• Early morning wake up call. Coffee, tea and biscuits at the lodge.
• Depart on an early morning game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve with Rangers.
• Return to the lodge for breakfast. Time at leisure.
• Buffet lunch served at the lodge.
• High tea at the lodge followed by a 3-hour game drive in Pilanesberg Game Reserve with Rangers, including a sundowner stop.
• Exclusive and surprise ‘Colonial Bush Dinner’ following the game drive with local African drummers, dancers, and a Marimba band to entertain

Day 6

• Early morning wake up call. Coffee, tea and snacks at the lodge.
• Early morning game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve with Rangers.
• Breakfast at the lodge.
• Time at leisure. Depart Ivory Tree Game Lodge.
• Luxury coach transfer to Johannesburg.
• Stop en-route in the ‘Cradle of Mankind’ for a four course lunch including wine ‘teasers’ with each course.
• Check-in for outbound international flight at O.R. Tambo International Airport.
• Return flight home.

• Programme management by skilled Dragonfly Africa staff.
• All airport meet and assists.
• Registered tour guides throughout.
• All transfers via luxury 44-seater air-conditioned coaches with onboard fridge and toilet facilities, or 10-seater 4x4 open safari vehicles during the game reserve portion.
• 3 nights at the 5-Star Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa including accommodation, breakfast and all taxes.
• 2 nights at the 5-Star Ivory Tree Game Lodge, including accommodation, 3 meals and 2 game drives daily.

Package is quoted on 40 participants sharing and is devised to illustrate the type of incentive programme that is feasible. Rate of exchange is based on R 16.75 to GBP £ 1.00 / R 13.25 to EUR € 13.25 (at time of going to print) and quoted on high season rates valid until 30 November 2009.
